Summary

Learn how to foster your own creativity as a teacher and learn how to provide materials that will encourage children's creativity. Meet other infant/toddler teachers, learn about the important role that you play in children's lives, and make something to take back to your classroom. Hope you can join us!

Objectives:

  • Participants will gain a deeper understanding of intentional planning and how it can positively affect activities in the classroom
  • Participants will understand how to use observation to plan lessons and activities
  • Participants will look into the Missouri Early Learning Standards and plan creativity activities in each domain


Core Competencies: 

1a: Understand the developmental period of early childhood from birth through age 8 across physical, cognitive, social and emotional, and linguistic domains, including bilingual/multilingual development. (1 Hour)
1b: Understand and value each child as an individual with unique developmental variations, experiences, strengths, interests, abilities, challenges, approaches to learning, and with the capacity to make choices. (1 Hour)
