For children, science is about experiencing, observing and making sense of the world around them. The Early Childhood Science Standards for the state of Missouri will be reviewed. Find different ways to include science and meet the standards in a planned, playful manner with children and see how fun and surprising science can be!

Objectives:
Participants will understand the Missouri State Early Childhood Science Standards, understand what science materials and activities can be added to a classroom and how to plan meaningful science experiences to enhance processing skills.
Core Competencies: 

•2.1.3.b - Teacher will understand the components of the Missouri Early Childhood Standards and determine what areas they need to improve upon.

•2.6.3.a - Participants will learn how to plan meaningful science experiences to enhance children's processing skills.

•2.6.3.b - Participants will increase knowledge of how to plan meaningful science experiences to enhance children's processing skills.
