Summary

Have you ever had that child that you just didn't know how to teach or how to handle? Have you ever had that child that just wouldn't behave? When you think about the children you serve, how many of them really learn just like the rest of the bunch? How many children really fit into that box? We have all had those kids we just couldn't figure out, because every child is unique and individual in his/her own way. Inclusion is often defined as the active participation of young children with and without disabilities. Building Blocks is a framework that offers a tiered system approach to help educators as they try to figure out how to promote learning and inclusion to benefit every child. It is a framework that gives educators a practical, feasible, evidence based approach to meeting the needs of all children. This training provides an overview of the Building Blocks Framework as the starting point to begin to think outside of the box.
