Have you ever walked into a classroom and seen that child who is off playing by himself? What about that child who chooses to run around the room during circle time? For some children and for some of their learning needs it may be necessary to make modifications and adaptations to the classroom environment, activities, or materials in order to increase the child's participation. For many children, increased participation and engagement will lead to increased learning. Modifications are relatively small changes that often require minimal resources that can have a BIG impact on children's learning and development. This traininig explores 8 types of modifications and how to implement them to improve the learning outcomes for all children in a classroom
